Obituary: Mckenzie, Ronald G.
We lost a funny, kind, caring man.
He was born April 28, 1962, in Reno, Nevada to Dennis and Zoell McKenzie.
Ron was married to his sweetheart, Ameila, for 20 years.
He was a great chef, and had worked in the industry since 1981, most of which was spent at the Rustler’s Roost, Hayden, Idaho and most recently at North Star Retirement Community.
He was preceded in death by his father, Denny McKenzie.
He is survived by his Mother, Zoell, seven siblings: Greg of Coeur d’Alene, Sharon (Bill) Melior, Dan, Dave, Steve (Kari), Julie and Keith, all of Post Falls, Idaho.
His wife, Mia and his daughter, Sara (Reno) Antenson, two grandchildren, Skye and Nina of Port Orchard, OR.
His nephew’s Josh, Anthony, Marcus and his Niece Kristi Kay all of Post Falls.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and customers.
The funeral is Tuesday, October 22 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
The funeral will be followed by burial at St. Thomas Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene.
Then by a luncheon at St. Pius Church.
