The town of Wallace is listed on the National Register of Historic Places – residential as well as commercial buildings. Downtown buildings offer a glimpse of what a town looked like 100 years ago.

Left: Bordellos are consistently found together with old mining districts. Wallace was no exception. Now a museum, the Oasis was open for business until 1988.

Above: Many of the ore samples found at the Wallace Mining Museum are beautiful. This sample came from the Sunshine Mine.
