Obituary: Baack, Margaret Elaine (Burkhalter)
Age 87
She was born June 4, 1926, in Garden City, SD to William and Lela Burkhalter.
She is survived by her son and daughter, Erlyn Baack and Nancy (Russell) Erickson; grandsons, Brian (Ann) Erickson and Brady (Kelly) Erickson and great-granddaughters, Sigrid Ann and Lena Margaret, two brothers Ron (Helen), Alan (Ruth) and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother and her former husband, Earl.
Mom loved her life growing up in Garden City, a small farming town in Eastern South Dakota.
She always spoke of her lifetime friends with fondness and wonderful memories of her life.
She especially loved playing the piano and singing with Sweet Adelines for many years.
As a family, we lived in Sioux City, IA until moving to Arizona in the early 1970’s.
After retiring as a Registered Nurse with Arizona State, she followed her daughter’s family to Spokane, WA where she lived until her passing.
