Obituary: Brauner, William Harold “Bill”

Age 89

BRAUNER, William Harold “Bill” April 26, 1924 - October 21, 2013 William “Bill” Harold Brauner, a longtime resident of the Kettle Falls, WA area, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2013 at his Kettle Falls home.

Bill was born on April 26, 1924 in Marcus, WA the son of Carl and Ruth Ellen (Ricketts) Brauner.

Bill’s business ventures included the Brauner Lumber Co., Brauner and Hastings, Brauner Management, Fibco, WHB Investments, Metalurgical Chip Co., Kettle Falls Marina, and the Panorama Enercorp.

He operated the mill and the lumberyard in Spokane until his retirement in 1997.

Bill was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmo and Richard Brauner, his two sisters, Shirley Mosley and Maxine Ricketts.

He is survived by his two sons, Hal Brauner, Hilo, HI, Bruce Brauner, Kettle Falls, WA; two daughters, Marsha Brauner, Kettle Falls, WA, Elaine Alling and her husband, Kenneth, Spokane, WA; brother, Lloyd Brauner, Loon Lake, WA; brother-in-law, Jerry Vincent, Kettle Falls, WA; fourteen grandchildren, Paula Hurst, Rebecca Alling, Bill Alling, Heather Krogemann, Josh and Jake Alling, Heidi Green, M’Lissa Wedmeyer, Lisa Marie Brauner, Gabriel King, Aaron King, Miranda Geiszler, Willis King, Theodore Pirtle, eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Mr. William “Bill” Harold Brauner will begin at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the First Congregational/United Church of Christ in Colville, WA.

Pastor Jim CastroLang will officiate.

The graveside service and vault interment will follow at the Meyers Falls Cemetery, Kettle Falls, WA.
