Age 65
Esther was born on October 5, 1948 to Simplecio Bongaitan and Abundia Pios in Old Escalante, Negros Occidental, Phillipines, where she resided until she met her love for life, Ret.
USAF TSGT Gregory Jensen.
They were married on December 17, 1971.
Esther and Greg found their way to Spokane, WA where they built their lives and raised their family.
She was a woman with a huge heart, always putting herself last.
It was her goal and pleasure in life to take care of others.
Anyone who knew her, loved her and will miss her.
Esther was doing one of the things she loved most; Salmon fishing at Vernita Bridge when she suffered an aneurysm and stroke, which took her from us.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Gregory Jensen; son, David Jensen; daughter, Diana (Michael) Diomede; granddaughter, Mylia Diomede and great-grandson, Shane, all of Spokane, WA.
She is preceded in death by parents and 13 siblings, all in the Phillipines.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 10am - 5pm, Wednesday and Thursday from 8am - 5pm and on Friday from 8am - 11am at Heritage Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 12pm at Heritage Funeral Home followed by a Graveside Service at Washington State Veterans Cemetery.
