A severe injury to a star player made Washington’ 41-17 victory over California on Saturday feel like a loss. Kasen Williams, the junior receiver from Skyline, Wash., suffered a broken bone in his left foot when he landed awkwardly trying to catch a pass during the second quarter. Coach Steve Sarkisian said Williams will likely miss the rest of the season. He caught 29 passes for 421 yards this season. He went up to try to catch a pass against Cal cornerback Kameron Jackson, and his left leg crumpled awkwardly beneath him when he landed. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
