Hayden KFC robbed Tuesday at gunpoint

A man brandishing a gun robbed the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in Hayden Tuesday night.

The robber entered the restaurant, at 279 W. Orchard Ave., just before 9 p.m., showed a black firearm and stole an undetermined amount of cash, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The man, described as white, about 6 feet tall and wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, fled on foot to the north, a news release said.

Sheriff’s deputies attempted to track him using a police dog, but were unsuccessful.
