Obituary: Mcafee, Harry Jax”

McAFEE, Harry “Jax” Passed away peacefully Sunday night at Sacred Heart Medical Center surrounded by his family.

He is best remembered as a kind man who was incredibly loyal.

Friendships were very important to him and he deeply cherished time with his family.

He took great pleasure in a good laugh, and was not afraid to chuckle at his own jokes.

A fly-fishing aficionado, Jax enjoyed many weekends on the North Fork or the Coeur D’ Alene.

He was especially fond of early morning on the dock at Twin Lakes, Idaho.

The simple pleasures in life - a good round of golf, a tasty cheeseburger, a family road trip, and crossword puzzles - meant a great deal to him.

Jax is survived by his beautiful wife of 39 years, Barbara; his two daughters, Jill and Kate; two sons, Kevin and Scott; and his sons-in-law, Mark and Jason; and grandchildren Margaret and Campbell.

His spirit will live in the hearts of all who loved him.

His family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to the medical staff at Sacred Heart Hospital for the special care they gave him.

A memorial service will be held at Bishop White Seminary Chapel, 429 E. Sharp on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 4:00 PM.
