DOWNTOWN – The Women and Children’s Free Restaurant is looking for experienced, volunteer prep cooks Monday through Thursday, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

A food handler’s card is required.

Homeless ministry hosting talent show

DOWNTOWN – Change for the Better, a homeless ministry, is hosting a talent show featuring business and political leaders, as well as homeless performers, on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 218 S. Howard St.

Tickets purchased in advance are $7 or $10 for VIP seating; tickets at the door are $10 and $15. Call (509) 455-9019.
