Obama’s looks not the problem

Dorothy Carter’s letter (Aug. 19) is correct about animosity many have toward President Barack Obama, the writer included. But envious of his good looks? Big ears atop a lanky frame; he is far short of an Adonis. But looks are immaterial.

The problem a great many of us have, in and out of Congress, is Obama’s character. He is a divisive, corrupt, pathological liar. People who can see past ideology can see this plainly. It is disqualification for honest, effective leadership.

Jimmy Carter was a pretty sorry president. But compared to Obama, he doesn’t look so bad.
