Obituary: Schmeer, Norman M.

Age 79

SCHMEER, Norman M. 12.02.1933 ~ 08.27.2013 With deep sadness, Norm, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully with his wife at his side on August 27th.

Norm had said that he would not go graciously or without a fight; he held true to his word.

Norm was an avid fly fisherman and loved to bird hunt with his amazing dog and best friend, Lizzy.

He worked in management at Sears for 32 years, retiring in 1993.

Following retirement, he and his wife Judy traveled extensively until grandson Trevor came into their lives in 2006.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Judy; his sons Ron (Kristin) and Craig (Katy); step-children, Gayle, Larry, and Julie; his brothers Dick (Lou) and Greg (Peg); very special grandchildren, Kian, Marie, and Trevor, whom he had many amazing memories with.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Elsie Schmeer.

Bringing Norm home for his last 11 days was the greatest joy for his family.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank Julie and Anthony as well as the Staff of Hospice of Spokane for all of their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Hospice of Spokane or a charity of your choice.

You were loved unconditionally and will be missed by all.
