Christian Caple’s AP Top 25 ballot: Tigers, Huskies move up

Christianc@Spokesman.Com (509) 998-3135

Each week throughout the football season, I will serve as one of the Associated Press’ top-25 poll voters. You can find my ballot in this space each week, too. And it turns out these teams are much easier to rank after some games have actually been played.

Still, there weren’t a ton of changes after Week 1 – the top two remain the same, though Clemson vaulted into the No. 3 spot after an impressive win over Georgia, which subsequently fell out of the top 10.

Washington worked its way into the poll at No. 20 by virtue of its thrashing of Boise State, a team that entered the season ranked 19th but fell out of the rankings completely this week.

LSU, Florida State and Northwestern gained ground, too. TCU’s loss at LSU cost the Horned Frogs a couple spots, but they’re hanging on at No. 25. Note: Complete AP Top 25 poll on Page B6.

1. Alabama, 2. Oregon, 3. Clemson, 4. Ohio State, 5. Stanford, 6. South Carolina, 7. Texas A&M, 8. Florida State, 9. Florida , 10. Louisville
