Obituary: Baird, Donald Gene
Age 84
He was the seventh of nine children; last surviving son.
He left his wife, Joanne Baird; four children; eight grand- children; and one great-grandchild: Son Lance, his wife Devi Baird, children Natasha and Duncan; daughter Tamera Baird Moore, husband Randi, children Jenny, Dustin, Savannah and great-granddaughter Parker; son Eric Baird, wife Twyla, their children Dane and Ty; daughter Shelley, her husband Reed, their children Logan and Karlyn.
He loved the mountains in “God’s Country”, Johnny Cash, making others laugh, conspiracy theories, sneaking salty snacks, his wife’s spaghetti and baked goodies, shirts with pockets, lottery tickets, his wife of 56 years, talking to extended family on Facebook, excessive amounts of aftershave, John Wayne, the U.S.A., his work for Shriners, reminiscing about his military service, his siblings, Fox News (the louder the better), baseball caps from places he’d traveled, his Mama, watching birds from the patio, his children, his grandchildren, and his Lord.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 10 AM to 5 PM at Heritage Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday September 7, 2013 at 10 AM at Heritage.
His sweet smile, sense of humor, and gentle nature will be forever held in our hearts and missed in our lives.
