Pac-12 football picks

If not for those pesky Buffaloes and Beavers, last week would have been a flawless one for my picks. I tried to rectify my mistake of picking against Eastern Washington, but was told Vernon Adams was not eligible to win Pac-12 Player of the Week. Oh well.

Another slate of mostly nonconference games is on tap, though WSU and USC actually have a Pac-12 matchup to worry about. So let’s pick ’em. All games Saturday unless otherwise indicated. All lines for entertainment purposes and bad habits only.

Sacramento State at Arizona State (tonight), ASU by 37: Sun Devils should cover this one by halftime. ASU 63-20.

Weber State at Utah, Utah by 24: Does Salt Lake City count as Big Sky country? Utah 38-10.

Oregon at Virginia, UO by 22 1/2: Not sure if this counts as a test for Ducks or not. It will, however, count as a victory. UO 49-21.

Portland State at California, Cal by 27 1/2: Yeah, the Bears are going to win. Cal 58-17.

Central Arkansas at Colorado, CU by 14: Buffaloes are flying high after win over Colorado State, and should continue to do so. CU 29-20.

Hawaii at Oregon State, OSU by 27: No truth to the rumor the Beavers tried to sign Blair Bomber earlier this week. OSU 34-13.

WSU at USC, USC by 15 1/2: Cougars will improve to 2-0 … against the spread. USC 38-27.

Arizona at UNLV, UA by 11: This game should be about as pretty as the stadium it’s being played in. UA 42-17.

San Jose State at Stanford, Stanford by 26 1/2: The Cardinal finally get to play a game. The Spartans will miss Mike MacIntyre. Stanford 41-13.

Last week: 8-2 straight up, 7-3 against the spread. Season: 8-2, 7-3.
