Suspect sought in store robbery

Spokane County sheriff’s deputies are seeking a man who robbed a Spokane Valley convenience store early Saturday morning.

At 5 a.m., deputies responded to a call of a man who had entered the 7-Eleven at North Park Road and East Broadway Avenue wearing black nylon over his face and a gray hooded sweatshirt, according to a news release. The man pointed a gun at the employee and demanded money.

The robber fled with cash and deputies tried to track him unsuccessfully, according to the release. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
