Dislike Massey’s politics

Each Saturday The Spokesman-Review offers space for a special column on religious views that is separate from the op-ed page. I am not greatly religious, but I enjoy these small, faith-based homilies.

On Aug. 24, this space was given for the use of Pastor Steve Massey. If this fits any definition of faith-based homily, count me out. Pure unadulterated politics; nothing more, nothing less. The figures he quotes as costs of the Affordable Care Act are high-end speculation, not facts in evidence.

I ask your editors to use better judgment in granting special status to such columns.
