Man wanted for child molestation at large two years after incident

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Department reminded the community today that a man accused of molesting a little girl is still at large, two years after the original incident.

Spokane County Sheriff’s Department originally issued a warrant for Carlos Unup, the 48-year-old man believed to have had sexual contact with a 6-year-old girl, in 2011, according to a news release. The original investigation stemmed from an incident on Aug. 11, 2011.

Unup, however, fled after the department completed its investigation, and has been on the run ever since, according to a news release.
