Art tour showcases local studios, artists

It looks like the warm weather is going to hold out for at least a few more days, which makes this the perfect weekend for taking part in the 10th annual Town and Country Studio Tour.

This artistic trek spans the entire city, with eight different art studios (half on the North Side of town, half on the south) offering the work of various local and regional artists for your viewing pleasure. You can see everything from painting to photography to pottery to sculpture, and the best part? It’s free.

The tour was founded in 2004 as a sort of roving gallery that allows art collectors and aficionados to see what the local scene has to offer.

Visit www.studioarttour.com to see a list of artists and studios participating; you can also download a tour map to help you plan the most convenient course.
