Are missiles more humane?

There is a lot of uncertainty around a missile attack on Syria. We condemn nerve gas, but are missiles somehow more humane? We bomb people worldwide, then cringe when someone plans an attack against us.

Can we be sure that our government is giving us all the facts concerning actions by the Syrian military? Our military and government have a knack for withholding pertinent information from the general population.

Who are the Syrian rebels? There is a good chance that the rebels are more radical than the Syrian government. World history is full of unjustified atrocities, including many in our own country. Shooting missiles at someone will not end this behavior.
