She died on September 10, 2013 in Portland, Oregon.
Emily was married on July 1, 1950 to Howard Eldon Claycomb in Tiffin, Ohio.
They had two sons, Scott Jay Claycomb born on November 3, 1952 in Fremont, Ohio and Donald Evan Claycomb born on March 18, 1958 in Spokane, Washington.
Emily and Howard moved their family from Fremont, Ohio to Spokane, Washington in August of 1953 to live out the rest of their lives together in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where Emily was raised.
Emily was a wife, mother, and homemaker in which she spent most of her life.
She was especially devoted to her family, was a good cook, enjoyed good music, and spent her quiet time taking great care of the house and yard.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Howard who died on December 30, 1991 in Spokane, Washington.
She is survived by her two sons, Scott and Donald, and her sister Barbara Crawford and family, and a brother Ray Arnold and family.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. -12:00 Noon on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Hazen & Jaegar Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, Washington.
The funeral services will be held Thursday, September 19, 1:00 P.M, at the graveside at the Pines Cemetery 1402 S. Pines Rd., close to the mausoleum south of 16th Ave.
