A free showing of the documentary film “Ingredients” takes place tonight in Moscow, Idaho. Narrated by actress Bebe Neuwirth, the film explores urban food deserts, diversified farms and the kitchens of celebrated chefs like Alice Waters, of Chez Panisse in Berkeley, Calif.
The screening, part of the Food for Thought Film Series sponsored by the Moscow Food Co-op, starts at 7 p.m. today at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, 508 S. Main St. in downtown Moscow.

Chili Cook-Off in Colville
Buffalo, barbecue and Hawaiian are just a few of the different flavors chili enthusiasts can sample at the first International Colville Rotary Chili Cook-Off on Saturday.
The event brings chefs from around the region and Canada to the Northeast Washington Fair Grounds, 317 W. Astor Ave. in Colville.
The cook-off is sanctioned by Chili Appreciation Society International.
Festivities run from noon to 6 p.m. and include performances by mounted archer Pat Stoddard, a variety of musicians and bands, and an awards ceremony at 5 p.m.
Tickets are $12; children younger than 8 get in for free.
