Vikings outlast Post Falls in IEL 5A

Megan Ramsmeyer totaled 14 kills and 14 assists on Tuesday while leading Coeur d’Alene to a 25-21, 21-25, 25-12, 20-25, 15-13 win at Post Falls in Inland Empire League 5A volleyball.

Sydney Williams added nine digs, four blocks and two aces for the Vikings (1-2 league).

Shayna Allert recorded 20 digs and 12 kills for Post Falls (0-2).

Also in the IEL 5A, Klaree Hobart had 15 digs, six kills and four aces to lead Lewiston (3-0) to a 3-0 win at Lake City (1-1). Emilee Schlader added 10 kills and Makayla Wilson 18 assists for Lewiston.

• Jordan Phelan finished with 18 kills and 18 digs to lift host East Valley (2-0 Great Northern League) to a 3-1 win over Pullman. EV’s Shalyn Stack added 18 digs. Melissa Langerveld had nine kills and 18 digs for the Greyhounds (1-1). … Also in the GNL, Santana Jose had 13 digs, seven kills and four aces while carrying host Clarkston (1-1) to a 3-0 win over visiting West Valley. Tori Zeimantz added eight kills for Clarkston. Tiaja Williams had five blocks and two aces for the Eagles (0-2). … Jessi Wittmeyer had five aces and 10 digs in powering host Colville (1-1) to a 3-0 sweep of Deer Park. Sierra English-Largent had 12 kills and 14 digs for the Stags (0-1).

• Karly Douglas totaled 15 assists and 10 digs, and Jill Weimer contributed nine digs and six kills as host Priest River (1-1 Intermountain League) registered a 3-0 sweep over Bonners Ferry. Emma Kelly led the Badgers (1-1) with 29 assists.

Boys soccer

Timmy Mueller scored a hat trick, all in the second half, and assisted on Sam Enfield’s goal in the 19th minute while leading Post Falls (4-1, 1-0) to a 4-0 win over visiting Lewiston (2-4, 0-3) in an Inland Empire League 5A match. Mueller has 13 goals this season.

• Dillon Cox scored three of his four goals in the first half to lead St. Maries (3-3, 3-1) to a 10-0 Intermountain League win at Orofino (0-3, 0-3). Ryan McNulty and Thomas Cook had two goals apiece for St. Maries.

Girls soccer

Chelsea Love scored twice, including a goal in the first minute, to guide host East Valley (2-2, 2-1) to a 3-1 win over Pullman (2-2, 1-2) in the Great Northern League. Shannon Frucci also scored for the Knights. …. Also in the GNL, Nina Sly scored the go-ahead goal in a 4-2 shootout as host Clarkston (1-2, 1-2) posted a 3-2 win over West Valley (3-1, 2-1). Clarkston’s Kate Sly scored on a penalty kick in the 78th minute to tie the match. … Deer Park’s match at Colville was postponed by lightning.

• Madeline Roberts scored in the 71st minute to snap a scoreless tie, lifting Post Falls (4-1, 1-0) to a 2-0 win at Lewiston (1-4-1, 1-2) in IEL 5A play. Lewiston’s Kaysha Bailey had 13 saves.
