Obituary: Walton, Wesley T.

Age 72

WALTON, Wesley T. May 24, 1941 ~ September 14, 2013 Wesley T. Walton.

May 24, 1941-September 14, 2013.

Wes was a life-long resident of Chattaroy, Washington.

He was one of five children born to parents Wesley and Vera Walton.

He married Panzy Wofford on November 10, 1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Wes was a member of the Eagles, WA State Cattlemen’s Association, VFW, NE Hay Growers Association and Inland Grange.

He carried on and passed down the traditions of local farming and cattle raising; having taken over the ranch from his father and passing it on to his son.

He lived and worked in Chattaroy most of his life and retired from Kaiser Mead.

The numbers of friends Wes has made are too numerous to count.

Wes was most known by folks through his generosity.

Whether or not people needed or asked for any help, he was there to lend his vast knowledge and expertise to give people a helping hand.

Traveling through Chattaroy, you could not find an open place and field that Wes did not have a hand in at one time or another to improve and farm.

He died as he had lived, working hard, improving he land and taking care of family and friends alike.

He is survived by his wife Panzy, son Wesley and grandchildren Emily and Katie Walton.

A potluck memorial will be held at the family ranch on Saturday, September 21, at noon.
