From Hell to Healing: One Veteran’s Story Iraq war veteran and musician Jason Moon uses science, humor, storytelling and personal experience to weave together a 90-minute message about how returning from war with PTSD affects not only the veteran but families and entire communities. Colville Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch Opens Saturday and runs through Oct. 31. A 12-acre corn maze that includes 10 numbered checkpoints. Visit the pumpkin patch (U-pick or we pick) ranging from mini decorative pumpkins to giants more than 100 pounds. Colville Rotary Chili Cook Off Food and beer along with music, dance and rodeo events. Sanctioned by Chili Appreciation Society International. Carnival Moscow Food Co-op is celebrating 40 years with live music performances, carnival midway games and activities. “Charge into Battle Against Hunger” The Spokane Renaissance Faire is raising money and food for the Second Harvest Food Bank. The event will begin at 10 a.m. with a food drive, followed by a benefit dinner and sale from Vintage Vines. The event will include the opportunity to win free passes to the fair and a diamond necklace from Tracy Jewelers. Anyone making a donation of $10 or more will receive a 2-for-1 pass to the fair. Vintage Vines will offer drink specials with a portion going to Second Harvest. A special Renaissance Dinner will be served including “The Big Dog,” roasted chicken legs and a pint for $10. 10 percent off to-go bottles of wine to those bringing in a can of food.
