Spartans have worth response

A challenge to Michigan State supporters after “Go Blue” was written across the East Lansing sky has led to more than $36,000 in donations to fight ovarian cancer. The Lansing State Journal reported that 1,200 people have heeded the call from Michigan State Alumni Association executive director Scott Westerman to create something meaningful from the prank seen by thousands attending a football game at Spartan Stadium. Westerman had wanted donations to match the several thousand dollars it cost someone to have the Michigan slogan skywritten Saturday as MSU hosted Youngstown State. – Associated Press
