Obituary: Matzick, Lotte

Matzick , Lotte (Age 88) You brought joy to our hearts…. Born Liese Lotte Nielsen in Germany, she was one of seven children of Jens and Meta Nielsen.

Lotte is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, Fred; and five siblings.

She leaves behind her daughter, Lori Matzick Haydon and son-in-law, Tom; granddaughters, Kristin Hussey and Erika Ramirez; four great-grandsons, Trace and Bryce Hussey, and Haydon and Wyatt Ramirez; older sister, Alma Meyer in Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Paula Heinevetter.

Special thanks to the caring staff at Colonial Court and Hospice of Spokane, and friend and neighbor Phil Cornwell for his Sunday visits.

Thank you, Mom, for your unforgettable lessons in humility, perseverance and grace.

Even though we may not practice them as well as you, we will never forget them.
