Here’s the Dirt: STCU building Idaho branch

Spokane Teachers Credit Union is opening a branch at The CrossRoads Coeur d’Alene. It’s the same retail center where WinCo Foods plans to open a grocery.

While the retail area developed by Hughes Investments is expected to open in March, construction of the credit union at the corner of Ramsey Road and West Appleway Avenue will begin within the next 18 months.

CrossRoads will be STCU’s fourth location in Idaho.

The branch will be 3,500 square feet with drive-through lanes.

Jump and Party on the move

Jump and Party is expanding into space at 7410 N. Division St., where it will share a building with Dynamic Gymnastics.

The business, popular for children’s birthday parties, will be moved in early October from its six-year location on East Lyons Avenue.

The new 11,000- square-foot space gives owners Ralph and Marie Rickards double the room and will allow the business to offer both parties and open jumping at the same time on weekends. Call (509) 482-3000 for more information.

Engineering firm opens office

Commonwealth Associates, Inc., a Michigan- headquartered electric power delivery design firm, has opened an office at 2310 N. Molter Road, Suite 200, in Liberty Lake.

The office is the company’s second in Washington; its first is in Mount Vernon.

The Spokane office will be the privately held firm’s base for serving customers in the northern Rocky Mountains area, including parts of Canada.

The company provides engineering and consulting services for clients taking on projects involving electric transmission and distribution.
