Obituary: Scharff, Elman G.

SCHARFF, Elman G. (Age 78) Passed away peacefully at his home on September 20, 2013.

He is survived by his four sons, Tom (and Tanya) Scharff, Steve (and Kim) Scharff, Lee Scharff and Fred (and Kitty) Scharff; along with three grandchildren, Kelsey (and Thomas) Dickens, Morgan Scharff and Tyler Scharff; and two great-grandchildren Lillian Dickens and Jayden Scharff; his two sisters Irene (and Ron) Wilkie and Marie Sierra and several nieces and nephews; and the children’s mother Barbara Chambers.

He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Lillian Scharff and a sister Louise Dewald.

He was a 1953 Davenport High School Graduate and wheat and cattle rancher.

He was a member of the Davenport Road Knights Car Club, Lincoln County and WA Cattleman’s Association and the W.A.W.G and an FFA and 4-H supporter, former Board of Directors of Davenport Union Warehouse.

He loved his farm and his animals and his dogs and he raised Eland.

He enjoyed fishing and collecting antique tractors and cars and loved visiting people on the farm and planting trees and his garden.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, 1011 Washington St., Davenport, WA with Pastor Jim Stern, Officiating.
