Obituary: Brooks, Jesse Polk

BROOKS, Jesse Polk November 14, 1984 - September 15, 2013 Jesse Polk Brooks, born in Paducah Kentucky, moved with his sisters and mother to Spokane in 1993.

He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 2003.

He surprised his Mother this last August 16th on her birthday, flying up from Dallas Texas where he has been living and working the last couple years.

He died suddenly Sunday afternoon in Dallas in a motorcycle accident.

Jesse was a licensed arborist and an engine mechanic.

Coming from a musical family, Jesse was also an excellent guitarist.

He is survived by his mother, Kathy Kostelec, sisters Sarah Brooks of Portland and Lisa Brooks of Spokane, half-sister Jackie Brooks and father Kevin Brooks of Dallas, step-father Bill Kostelec of Spokane, step brothers Shawn and Alyosha Kostelec, brother-in-law Andy Bagley, nephews Exli and Jonah and niece Leona, all of Spokane.

His grandfather Ed Fenton is in Murray, KY and grandmother Ora Brooks is in Paducah, KY, and there are numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.

Also in Spokane is his long-time best friend Jacob Hunton in whose home a memorial service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, September 28, 722 W. 25th Ave in Spokane.

Jesse was a good man, always protective of his mother and sisters and beloved by his dogs.

We will all miss him.
