Obituary: Gibson, Lillie Mae

Age 82

GIBSON, Lillie Mae 82 Years of Life A very, very longtime resident of Deer Park, Washington, Lillie Mae Gibson passed away on September 23, 2013, at the family home.

Lillie was born on May 4, 1931, in Britton, Marshall County, South Dakota, to her parents, Reuben and Grace Lowry; she was their second child.

Lillie and her family moved to Deer Park in 1934.

After attending the first grade at Pine View Grade School, she attended Deer Park Grade School and graduated from Deer Park High School with the Class of 1949.

During her high school days, Lillie excelled in music, both band and chorus.

It was here that she met her future husband, Bob.

They were married November 4, 1949, and have been married for 63+ years.

Lillie is survived by her husband, Bob; daughters, Dianne Allert, Sherry Tedrow, and son, Gary Gibson, along with their spouses, Les, Rick, and Christie.

Her grandchildren are Josh, Arik, Cindy, Wade, Sarah, Rachea, Greg, and Laura, and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Lillie’s sisters and brothers are Faith Terrell of Rosalia, WA, Betty (Bob) Mantz of Ephrata, WA, Bob (Mary Jo) Lowry of Des Moines, Iowa, Fred Lowry of Liberty Lake, WA, and Dale (Lynda) Lowry of Moses Lake, WA.

Her brother-in-law is Tom (Sharon) Taylor of Deer Park.

Lillie is predeceased by her sister, Joyce Taylor.

Funeral Services honoring Mrs. Gibson will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 28, 2013, in Deer Park at the Open Door Congregational Church with Rev.

Dr. Daniel N. Berg officiating.

There will be a dinner for all guests immediately following the funeral at Mont Lamm’s Event Center just north of Lillie and Bob’s farm on Spotted Road.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Lillie’s memory to the Open Door Church Building Fund, P.O.
