Obituary: Thompson, Yvonne M.
Yvonne, also known to many as “Danny”, was born in Spokane, raised in Minnesota, and returned to Spokane with her parents (Richard and Margaret Danielson), where she met and married Lawrence Thompson, Jr., in 1948.
Yvonne was an accomplished Air Force wife, traveling with Larry through the United States and Europe, while maintaining her own activities, which included raising two children, modeling, golfing, sailing, skiing, snow shoeing, having fun - you rarely saw her without a smile on her face.
Upon retirement, Yvonne and Larry returned to Spokane, yet maintained a second home in Michigan for many years where winter and summer activities happened.
Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Leslie (Howard) Salmon, daughter-in-law, Mary Sue Thompson, her grandchildren, Derek, Shannon and Tyson, six great-grandsons, several nieces and nephews.
Yvonne’s husband, Larry, and her son, Steve, preceded her in death.
The family will celebrate Yvonne’s life privately.
