Stop the repeal votes

Cathy McMorris Rodgers and the Republican House are at it again. Their focus to repeal the Affordable Care Act at all costs has blinded them to seeing real needs in this country. The House has voted to repeal Obamacare 42 times and 42 times they failed. Their latest strategy is to pass a spending bill that halts money for the Affordable Care Act.

I don’t want the government to shut down, and I do want Obamacare. I’m really tired of hearing that the government will shut down if Congress can’t agree on a spending bill to keep it going. The Affordable Care Act has nothing to do with the spending bill; it is a law.

The actions taken by the House are meant to cause confrontation. They’re hoping the looming deadline will push action to get what they want. They are the bully on the playground. The importance of repealing Obamacare has taken precedence over doing their job.

Contact your legislators and tell them 42 times is enough. Quit playing games that waste taxpayer time and money. Pass spending bills that keep the government moving forward.
