Broker opens Spokane office

Brian Southworth has opened the first Spokane office for Murphy Business & Financial Corp., a nationwide broker that helps people buy and sell companies.

One of its primary services is working with individuals or couples looking to start or sell a franchise.

Southworth opened his Spokane office from his home on March 18. He will use a virtual office until the business grows to the point a business location is needed, he said.

The Murphy company has connections to more than 350 franchising opportunities. The franchise options include fitness, lawn care, furniture repair, education services and others, Southworth said.

Southworth has 30 years of business experience in the Spokane area, having worked at Cox Cable, Primestar and Comcast.

South Hill fitness center opens

CrossFit Expedition, a fitness center, is leasing 1,660 square feet at Regal Center, 2718 E. 57th Ave., on Spokane’s South Hill.

The business operators are Andrew and Emily Laughlin and Gabe West. Classes are starting this month.

Jett Ottmar of Cornerstone Property Advisors brokered the lease.

Behavior clinic relocates

Pathways Children’s Services is leasing 750 square feet of office space at 300 N. Argonne Road, Suite 204, in Spokane Valley.

Clinic owner Dr. Billie Jo Davis is relocating from 708 N. Argonne Road to the new office.

She is a clinical psychologist and certified behavior analyst specializing in program design and treatment of children with behavior disorders.

Kevin Maher of PacWest Property Management and Matthew Byrd of Cornerstone Property Advisors brokered the deal.

Miller Paint opens new store

Miller Paint, based in Portland, has opened its fourth area store at 14115 E. Sprague Ave., in Spokane Valley.

General contractor for the building improvements was All Wall Contracting Inc.
