Fresh Sheet: Panda Express aids mudslide victims
Panda Express is collecting donations at 69 regional stores to help victims of the Oso mudslide.
The Asian fast-food restaurant chain will match 100 percent of in-store and corporate donations collected through April 21.
Funds will be distributed to the American Red Cross and Tzu Chi Foundation, an international nonprofit humanitarian organization that is delivering supplies to the devastated area.
Panda Express is owned by the Panda Restaurant Group Inc. The privately held company, founded in 1973, has more than 1,650 locations of Panda Express, Panda Inn and Hibachi-San in 46 states.

Pre-orders are being taken for the Spokane Buddhist Temple’s Haru Matsuri Spring Food Festival.
The fundraiser features chicken teriyaki dinners ($12); four inari (rice packed in fried tofu pouches) for $5; a combination of two pieces of inari and four pieces of futomaki (seaweed-encircled sushi with rice, vegetables and other ingredients) for $7; and desserts such as candied ginger balls and sweet rice cakes called mochi ($4).
The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 27 at the temple, 927 S. Perry St.
