Obituary: Macmaster, Paul D.

Age 62

In Loving Memory of MacMASTER, Paul D. Passed away at his home on Monday April 7th 2014 in Colville, Washington at the age of 62.

Paul was born to Violet L. Henderson-MacMaster and Ray D. MacMaster in Spokane, WA October 26, 1951.

He grew up in Wilbur, WA and was a 1970 graduate of Wilbur High School.

He had many lifelong friends and classmates from his high school days.

He was an accomplished wrestler and football player.

Paul worked numerous jobs from a very young age.

He did farm work and hauled fertilizer chemicals before going to SCC to become a heavy diesel mechanic.

Paul also obtained his welding degree from SCC.

He worked for Grant County and Ferry County before starting his career for the Department of Transportation in Colville.

Paul was one of the last true mountain men.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to be outdoors.

Paul loved being with people and lived for his friends and family.

He was the life of the party, always making everyone laugh.

He was one of a kind-had a great sense of humor and wit.

Everyone couldn’t get enough of being around Paul.

He impacted many lives.

Paul is survived by his loving companion Vicki Griffith; brother E. Harold MacMaster; sister Charlene MacMaster-Leonard and her husband Craig; nephews Matt and Makaio MacMaster and Ceth Ray Leonard; nieces Cody Leonard and Janae MacMaster; as well as a new found brother Norman Casas and his wife Libby; and many other nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his father Ray D. and mother Violet L. MacMaster.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 12th in Wilbur, WA at 11:00am at the Strate Funeral Home.

There will be a reception to follow at Wilbur Senior Center.

A private family burial will be held at a later date at Mountain View Cemetery in Davenport, WA.
