Spokane Valley Library Book Club - This month’s selection is “Orphan Train” by Christina Baker Kline. Vivian Daley, a young Irish immigrant, was one of the thousands of abandoned children carried on the “orphan trains” from the East Coast, in 1854. 10th Annual DanceFest - Celebrating National Dance Week. Sponsored by the Inland Northwest Dance Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting dance in the Inland Northwest, this free festival showcases all forms of dance, performed by people of all ages and abilities. Folk, Jazz and Blues: Songs that Helped Americans through the Hard Times - Fairfield - Music can lift your spirits, or be a faithful friend, in the midst of dark days.
