Obituary: Nickerson, John Wayne

NICKERSON, John Wayne John Wayne Nickerson, is breathing a sigh of relief after years of struggling with sarcoidosis.

John passed at 64 on Monday March 31, 2014 after a recent hospital stay.

John was born in Soap Lake, WA on March 17, 1950 to Carl and Frances (Porter) Nickerson.

The family later relocated to Spokane where he has remained in the area until his passing.

John was employed by the City of Spokane Streets Dept.

for thirty years.

Pat enjoyed family, Seahawks, camping, reading, leather and wood working.

John was introduced to Sandra K. Gill at the Deer Park Eagles in 1988.

They were married on October 10, 1992 in Spokane.

John is survived by his wife of 21 years, a daughter, two sons, a brother and a sister.

John was not one for funerals, so there will be a Celebration of Life Potluck held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 1-4 at The Deer Park Eagles.

The family would like to thank everyone for all the thoughts and prayers they have received in honor of Pat.
