Deputies looking for suspect in assault of Athol partygoers

From staff reports
Kootenai County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who allegedly struck four people in the face with a handgun during a large outdoor party south of Athol early on Saturday. Four people were taken to Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene for treatment of facial injuries, including surgery, a news release from the sheriff’s office said. Deputies are looking for Terry Andrew Clark, 25, of Coeur d’Alene, in relation to the incident. Clark was attending the party and became violent with the other party goers in the early morning hours on Saturday, the release said. The party was held near Old Highway 95 and Brunner Road. When deputies responded, most of the party goers had left and Clark had reportedly run from the area, the release said. Witnesses and victims said Clark began hitting people with a handgun. A firearm was recovered from the area and is being held by the sheriff’s office. Sheriff’s detectives have obtained a felony warrant for Clark’s arrest for four counts of aggravated battery. Clark may have fled to Newport, the release said. He may be driving either a black 1996 Cadillac Eldorado (Idaho plate: K401606) or a 1998 red Pontiac Grand Am (Idaho plate: K545681). The sheriff’s office is asking that anyone with information on his whereabouts call (208) 446-1300.
