Obituary: Slocum, Bernard Leroy

Age 73

SLOCUM, Bernard Leroy Was born in Havre, Montana on March 21, 1941 to Baldridge & Francis Slocum.

He attended Whitefish High School.

He moved to Spokane in 1971.

He worked for the Great Northern and Burlington Northern Railway for 34 years.

He was a Ford Enthusiast that enjoyed boating and camping with family and friends.

Bernard passed away Friday, April 11th, 2014.

He is survived by his wife, Marty Slocum, one son and one daughter, and five grandkids; David Slocum (Brandon, Jacob, and Trevor) and Debbie Rulffes (Ashley and Nicholas); two stepdaughters and three step grandkids; Tifani Miller (Savannah), and Heidi McElfish (Taryn and Talan), brother William Slocum, and sister-in-law Frankie Slocum.

He was preceded in death by son Dwayne, parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Thursday, April 17th, 2014 at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home at 1315 N. Pines Rd., Spokane, WA.

at 2:00 p.m.
