Nine justices on state Supreme Court

There are nine justices on the Washington state Supreme Court. A story that ran on page A5 of Wednesday’s paper incorrectly reported the number of justices due to a reporter’s error.

Waldref says quote out of context

A quotation attributed to Spokane City Council member Amber Waldref and cited in a public records request filed by Spokane County Commissioner Al French doesn’t reflect her statement, Waldref said Wednesday. She doesn’t believe there should be no development on public land; she believes it should be done with good planning. Shawn Vestal referred to the quotation in a column Wednesday on page A5.
