‘Thanks for the Memory: Spokane Songbirds Sing A Tribute to Mildred Bailey’

Jazz vocalists Julia Keefe and Heather Villa, together with local group Mama Doll and the Mukogawa Women’s Ensemble, pay tribute to “The Queen of Swing,” Mildred Rinker Bailey, a Coeur d’Alene Indian raised in Spokane who had a successful and influential career as a jazz vocalist in the 1930s.
