Around the Remote: ‘Maids’ get dirty on Lifetime

“DEVIOUS MAIDS”: Bring on the heavy-duty detergent. There’s lots of dirty laundry to deal with as this campy soap returns for a second season that promises even more twists and surprises. The story makes a three-month jump from the events of last year’s finale, when Flora’s murder case was solved and Marisol’s (Ana Ortiz) quest to clear her son’s name ended. Of course, the heightened drama isn’t about to end. Eva Longoria, an executive producer on the show, directed the opener. 10 p.m. Sunday, Lifetime.

SUNDAY: Witches are the new vampires (or zombies). They’re the stars of “Salem,” a supernatural drama series set in 17th-century Massachusetts, where spooky, strange things are happening. 7 p.m., WGN.
SUNDAY: “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a new drama from Martha Williamson (“Touched by an Angel”) about postal workers who specialize in getting undeliverable mail to its rightful recipients. In the process, they change lives. 8 p.m., Hallmark.
SUNDAY: We’re still gasping over last week’s deadly episode of “Game of Thrones.” Of course, someone will have to pay for this poisonous crime and, unfortunately, right now it looks like our pal Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) is the one. 6 and 9 p.m., HBO.
MONDAY: The vote is finally in the hands of the viewers on “The Voice” as the remaining 12 singers take their cases to America for the live shows. The coaches, however, still have the power to save someone who gets the boot. 8 p.m., NBC.
TUESDAY: Season 10 of “The Deadliest Catch” opens with the guys facing added pressure due to a shortened crabbing season. Remind us to take our Dramamine. 9 p.m., Discovery.
WEDNESDAY: “Nashville: On the Record” is a special in which cast members of the music-centric soap perform songs from the show and songwriters discuss their craft. Among the performers: Hayden Panettiere, Chip Esten, Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio. 10 p.m., ABC.
THURSDAY: “Bad Teacher” was a bad movie starring Cameron Diaz. Now it’s a TV show starring Ari Graynor, to whom we say: Good luck with that. 9:31 p.m., CBS.
THURSDAY: “Black Box” has the makings of one long head trip. It’s a drama about a bipolar neuroscientist (Kelly Reilly) who struggles with her own demons while treating patients. Vanessa Redgrave plays her therapist. 10 p.m., ABC.
FRIDAY: “Writers Room” is a must-see series for those who relish behind-the-scenes intel on their favorite shows. Tonight, host Jim Rash quizzes writers from “The Walking Dead” on how they deal with all the blood and guts. 9 p.m., Sundance.
SATURDAY: On this week’s installment of “The Real History of Science Fiction,” we explore space (or the final frontier), from the terrifying scenes of “Alien,” to the epic craziness of “Star Wars.” 7 and 10 p.m., BBC America.
