Way behind on road work

One of the first things that people notice about Spokane is the poor road conditions. Half of the roads and highways in Spokane seem as if they haven’t been repaired in 30 years. And it really bothers me that drivers have to navigate around potholes and scars in the road just to get from Point A to Point B.

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s great that crews are repairing Sprague Avenue, but it’s undoubtedly needed in so many more places across town. Repairing the roads in Spokane should be a much more prioritized action. And there are many benefits to that; the damage to vehicles by the imperfections in the road will, without a doubt, be less of an issue.

Maybe some of our taxpayer money being allocated to the West Side of Washington should be spent on Eastern Washington. Spokane is great and all, but it needs some improvements and the roads are a definite one.
