Obituary: Caine, Larry

CAINE, Larry Passed away April 19th, 2014 at his home with family by his side.

He was born in Spokane May 9th, 1943 and lived the majority of his life in Spokane.

He worked at “Frosto’s Drive Inn” in high school, moved to Seattle and worked at the “Casa Villa” as a pantry man.

He moved back to Spokane and managed “Beefy’s Drive Inn” then later managed “Zips Drive Inn” on East Sprague.

After 5 years at Zips, he was hired by U.R.M.

and retired after 30 years.

His hobbies included camping, kayaking, doing Bloomsday, bike riding, and working in his yard.

He loved life and spending time with family and friends.

“I am just enjoying retirement and freedom as long as we have it.”

He is survived by his son Steve and daughter-in-law Michelle, and two grandsons Braedyn and Jordan; girlfriend of 6 years Di Land; and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Aliene Caine, and his sister Marcia Baldwin.

A memorial will be held at Spokane Cremation and Funeral Service on Saturday the 26th at 11:00.
