Marjorie grew up on the family wheat farm in LaCrosse, Wash- ington.
After graduating from LaCrosse High School she attended Northwest Business College.
In 1950, Marjorie went on the Holy Year Pilgrimage with the Catholic Sodality visiting Rome, Lourdes and other shrines.
After her return she worked at the Catholic Youth Office.
She also worked at Our Lady of Fatima Church.
In 1958, she began working at the Immaculate Retreat Center.
Marjorie’s voice was the kind, welcoming voice on the other end of the phone when you called the Retreat Center.
For 33 years, Marjorie was the center of all that went on at the Retreat Center.
She was a member of the Excelsior Club and the Catholic Business and Professional Women.
Marjorie passed away on April 20, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sr. Agnes Schweiger, and her two brothers, Paul Schweiger and Peter Schweiger.
She is survived by her sisters, Sabina Turner of Memphis, Tennessee and Cecelia Soran (husband, Thomas Soran) of Gig Harbor, WA.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Thursday, April 24th at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
Interment will be at 2 pm on Thursday, April 24th at the Colfax Cemetery.
