One more storm before Inland NW warm up

Forecasters said that scattered rain showers today should give way to rain overnight and more showers on Sunday, but warm sunny weather is not far away. A new storm system is approaching the region this afternoon and should arrive overnight, giving the region up to a quarter inch of rain on Sunday when the high only reaches the lower 50s. Wind gusts to 29 mph are possible Sunday afternoon. By Monday, weather clears nicely with mostly sunny skies and highs in the middle 50s. Highs will warm several degrees each day until the temperature goes to the middle 70s on Wednesday through Friday under plenty of sunshine. This will bring the first official 70-degree day to Spokane International Airport this year. Lows next week will go from the 30s to the middle 40s during the warm up. Computer forecast models indicate that the ridge of higher air pressure bringing the warm up will start to break down under the influence of a British Columbia low by next Saturday.
