Suspect in shooting at Spokane bar arrested

Spokane Police Major Crimes detectives arrested a man Friday they believe is tied to a shooting at a downtown bar that wounded an employee early Thursday.

Andre R. Hallman, 23, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault in connection with the shooting at the Lion’s Lair at 205 W. Riverside Ave.

Three unruly men were asked to leave the bar and returned a short time later.

One fired several shots through the front window, with one bullet striking the employee in the leg, police said.

Hallman was arrested about 6 p.m. driving near the intersection of Lyons and Nevada streets.

He was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Spokane County Jail.
