Shot bar bouncer identifies suspect on Facebook

From staff reports
A bouncer at downtown bar The Lion’s Lair collared his suspected shooter by viewing his Facebook profile, according to court documents. Andre Hallman, 23, faces two counts of first-degree assault in a shooting that occurred at 205 W. Riverside Ave. around 2 a.m. Wednesday. The bouncer told police he’d ejected several unruly customers from the bar and that one of them fired a gun while he was walking back inside, striking the bouncer in the right leg and stomach. A woman inside the bar also received a grazing bullet wound to her leg, according to court documents. Two .45 caliber spent shell casings were found at the scene. The bouncer told police he received tips the shooter was a man using the moniker “KD Loc” on Facebook. He identified the man as the shooter, and police later linked the profile to Hallman, who is on probation and is being monitored by the Department of Corrections for outstanding criminal cases. He was arrested without incident during a traffic stop Friday. A judge set Hallman’s bail at $500,000 on the assault charges Monday.
