Dems want capitulation

I am sick of Democratic assertions that the reason Congress accomplishes so little is Republicans are not willing to cooperate. My perception of how Democrats spell cooperate is: c-a-p-i-t-u-l-a-t-e. How can Senate Republicans work with Harry Reid when he picks and chooses the legislative proposals he will allow to come to the floor for a vote?

One dictionary definition of the word cooperate is: “to work or act together or jointly for a common purpose or benefit.” Note the phrase common purpose. That phrase implies agreement on a common goal. It also implies that there is a common understanding of a problem to be solved. At times, I am angry at members of both parties. They vote party-line on most issues, and assert that they are representing the wishes of their constituents.

Democrats won the presidency by pitting the haves against the have-nots. Deep down inside, does it really seem fair that someone with no disability receive the fruits of someone else’s labor? There are jobs out there, if one is willing to swallow one’s pride and work at any job they can find until they can find one that pays a living wage.
