Obituary: Anderson, Carl W. “Andy”

ANDERSON, Carl W. “Andy” (Age 80) Beloved husband, dad, grandpa, uncle and friend went to be with the Lord on April 26, 2014.

Andy was born in Rockford, IL to Lawrence and Louise Anderson.

He graduated from Hononega High School, joined the Air Force and married Lorraine LaPierre February 16, 1957 in Spokane, WA.

They moved to Rockford, IL and had four children: Doug, Cheryl, Renee and John.

In October 1974, the family moved to Spokane, WA.

Andy spent the majority of his working career in bakery sales.

He retired in 1995 and continued his love of woodworking, traveling, and not to mention meeting his friends at Thrifty Scotsman and Mike’s Donuts.

Andy worshipped at Life Center Church and was a proud veteran of the USAF.

Andy is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Lorraine; children: Doug Anderson, Cheryl (John) Boyd, Renee (Vincent) Miesen and John Anderson; grandchildren: Caleb (Sari) Anderson, Sarah and Andrew Boyd and Aiden Miesen; great-grandchildren: Katie, Jennae and Adelle Anderson and brother, David Anderson, not to mention many nieces and nephews.

He was preceeded in death by his parents: Lawrence and Louise Anderson and brothers: Gerald and Ernie Anderson.

Heartfelt thanks to Dean Hill MD, the caring staff on the 5th and 6th floors at Sacred Heart Medical Center and St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute.

Visitation is May 2, 2014 from10 am to 5 pm at Heritage Funeral Home with the celebration of Andy’s life on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11 am at Heritage Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Life Center Church (1202 N Government Way, Spokane WA 99224) or WoundedWarriersProject.org in memory of Jarred Lallier and Tyler Moore.
